Selfcare Advice...
Where to begin with self care? My moto is little and often can go a long way. This way it feels achievable to fit into you daily routine and schedule.
I want you to leave the end of the session with an idea of some things you can do to help yourself. I want you to feel empowered to take back some control for your own health and wellness. As part of each massage treatment, we will discuss some practical and achievable self care goals to aid with the course of your personalised treatment, that fit easily into your daily routine.
Here are some examples of things I may give you to do between treatments:

-
Self Stretches and mobilisations: I'll give you one -two simple self stretches to practice daily. They maybe either be a hold stretch for 30-90 seconds, or a more dynamic form of stretch. You will be guided through before leaving clinic knowing what to do. Think along the lines of while the kettle is boiling/ coffee or tea is brewing sort of timing. Or when you wake up or before you go to bed.
-
Self trigger point work. I'll show you where you can reach those stubbon, reaccuring, ouchy spots that you can give a little love to yourself. Try and be patient with them, I'm talking about pressing or squeezing gently until you feel a change in the hardnesses or tenderness, then giving space to the tissue to settle.
-
Journalling/ keeping a diary.
-
Acupressure points.
-
Guided meditation.
-
Nature walks.
-
Your own application of hot and cold to help.
-
Spending time with friends.
